Nice stay but.

Had a good stay. The room was cozy and clean. The hot tub outside was a nice treat. The staff were super friendly, really helped us out with our bags while we explored the city. Breakfast was decent, lots of options. A bit of a hassle with parking since we had to move our car earlier than expected.

The welcome on arrival was quite uninviting. The receptionist was short and seemed irritated. This left a poor first impression of the hotel. Parking was available but getting out was extremely tight, making it stressful to leave the next day.

Family Friendly, A Solid Choice.

The location was really convenient, we were just a short walk away from all the main attractions. And the beds? They were surprisingly comfortable for a hotel, like sleeping on a cloud, man!

It wasn't exactly cheap, but considering the quality, I’d say it was still reasonable.

My room was large and very clean, equipped with essential amenities, including a kettle and ironing facilities. Although the nearby railway was occasionally noisy, friendly staff promptly addressed the issue when I reported a malfunctioning fan during the hot weather. Breakfast was delightful, with standout sausages and a variety of options, making the dining experience enjoyable.

i had a fantastic stay at hedley house for 5 nights. the location is perfect, just a short walk to the minster and city center. the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. the dining experience was top-notch, especially breakfast which was generous and delicious. i loved the gym, open daily with state-of-the-art equipment.

Staying here was delightful, the room was gorgeous with bay windows, and it’s just a short 500 meters to the beautiful York Museum Gardens, perfect for a relaxing walk. I also loved being only 1 km from the impressive York Minster, offering stunning views and rich history within easy strolling distance.

We enjoyed our stay in the spacious quadruple room, which was well-appointed and exceeded our expectations. Our children loved the onsite hot tub. I recommend taking a short walk to the nearby restaurants rather than dining in, as there are plenty of excellent options. Don't forget your swimsuits!
